22 of us have just returned from an amazing week at Gites de Las Razes. We had 11 adults and 11 children and it's hard to know who had a better time. The children (4-13) were brilliantly catered for with lots of areas to explore and play in independently while being close enough to the adults that they could relax and feel 'on hand' if needed. The pool was brilliant for adults and kids with enough depth for jumping and diving at one end and easy to stand for the little ones at the other. The pool area was well secured which saved any worries about kids just wandering in there. And happy kids mean happy parents. We are all school friends and this was the perfect place to hang out. The location is stunning and the gites itself is exactly how you'd have one if you had excellent taste and a large budget. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in. Some of our party are pretty serious cooks and they stated it was the best rental kitchen they had ever come across. There were plenty of areas to come together as a group (inside and out) but also get a bit of peace if needed and hang out with immediate family. We found plenty to do in the area for a week- a few day trips to towns/castles/water and the area was ideal for road cycling and runs. The hosts live next door which meant they were on hand for any help. This was useful sometimes and they were welcoming without being intrusive. We took up the 3 course meal one night and it was a real treat- highly recommended (and veggie friendly). Between the whole party we have been to a fair number of nice houses to stay and this is certainly one of the very best. We're already planning our return and the kids (and adults!) can't wait.

We had an excellent experience at Laz Razes during a corporate seminar. The venue is extremely warm and welcoming, reflecting the owners' personalities. Furthermore, it's perfectly suited for a work session (but also for a gathering with friends or family).

Rented the entire cottage to celebrate my birthday with 20 people. A wonderful welcome; Sylvie was very attentive while respecting our privacy. We booked for Easter weekend (3 days/2 nights) to celebrate a birthday, and we were captivated from the moment we arrived. The place is simply fabulous. Everything is there. There isn't a single flaw. The decor is tasteful. All the rooms are warm and inviting. The beds are comfortable. There's a lovely aroma. The linens, the toiletries... the fully equipped kitchen. Nothing is missing. The space is just perfect for 25 people, both inside and out. The common area is perfect. The pellet stove warms the stone-walled room beautifully. There's a sofa area with blankets available. Two large tables. And a games room with a magnificent pool table. A nice touch is the sound system in the ceiling, perfect for a temporary dance floor. A weekend to celebrate a birthday with the whole family in a superb, very well-equipped gîte, perfect for hosting a large group. The kitchen was fantastic, allowing us to easily heat up two enormous cassoulets and prepare meals for about twenty people; all the necessary equipment was provided. There was a huge common room with two tables, creating a convivial atmosphere around a wood-burning stove and fireplace: very pleasant and wonderfully welcoming, with plenty of space to feel comfortable. At the far end of the huge dining room was a lounge/pool room with a foosball table: fantastic! The bedrooms were spread around the main building or in the lodge right next door, practically attached: very comfortable, with all the amenities and very comfortable beds. The weather was rainy, but it didn't bother us because staying in this gîte is actually quite pleasant, even though the setting and the unobstructed view are equally lovely. We'll definitely take advantage of that next time! And to top it all off, the owners are very friendly, living next door discreetly, and available within seconds to answer any questions about using the gîte. Hats off to them for making this place so warm and welcoming; we'll certainly remember this address. Speaking of addresses, we recommend the restaurant: L'Auberge du Brelan.
